Mission accomplished! I ran my second half marathon ever and did it without stopping. Sure, I may have choked on water at the rest stops I jogged through and felt like I was hobbling through the last three miles, but I never stopped. I finished in just over two hours and two minutes, so I have a goal to aim for next year. I WILL finish in under two hours.
Considering that my training background is more in speed and power I was pleased with finishing in a decent time and without stopping to walk. It all has to be credited to relatively consistent training and solid preparation in the days leading up to the race. I have learned to be more forgiving toward myself in my training because things can always be modified.
